An Astrological Preview for Delayed Marriage

The Institution of Marriage is considered as one of the most important events in a person’s life, especially in India. Normally, most of the people get married at an appropriate age without much hassle. Astrologically, 3 factors are considered most important for this to happen which are as follows :

1. The 7^th house (House of Marriage, Marital Life and Relationships) of the Horoscope
2. The Lord Planet of 7^th House
3. Natural benefactor of Marriage i.e planet Venus in Male Horoscope and planets Jupiter and Sun in a Female Horoscope

However at times, the marriage of a person gets unduly delayed inspite of best of efforts. The various Astrological reasons for this undue delay can be summarized to some extent as follows :

1. Presence of more than one Malefic Planets like Sun-Saturn, Sun-Mars, Sun-Rahu, Sun-Ketu, Mars-Saturn, Mars-Rahu, Mars-Ketu, Saturn-Mercury, Saturn-Rahu, Saturn-Ketu in the 7^th House ( House of Marriage ) can lead to a delayed Marriage.
2. If the Lord Planet of 7^th House is placed in the 6^th, 8^th or 12^th House, then also the Marriage can be unduly delayed, more so if the Lord of 7^th House is in conjunction with Malefic Planets or it is in a Retrograde, Debilitated or Combust state.
3. If the 7^th House is being aspected by more than one Malefic Planet or if the 7^th House is in a Paap-Kartari Yoga i.e there are Malefic Planets in the 6^th and 8^th House of the Horoscope.
4. If there is a conjunction of planets Saturn and Moon thereby forming a Shani Chandra Vish Yoga in the Horoscope or if the planet Moon itself is weak according to its placement or Tithi, then also the marriage can be delayed because such people are themselves not much interested in an early marriage.
5. If the Lord Planets of 6^th House, 8^th House or 12^th House are placed in the 7^th House, then also there can be Problems and Obstacles leading to a delay in Marriage. This situation becomes more serious if any of the above planets are in a Retrograde, Debilitated, or Combust state or if they are in conjunction with some malefic planet.
6. If there is a Kaal Sarp Dosha in Horoscope forming between 1^st and 7^th House, then also the Marriage can be unduly delayed.
7. If the Lord of 9^th House ( House of Luck ) is placed in the 8^th House, then also the marriage can be delayed. Presence of Saturn and Mercury in 7^th House is also not considered good from Marriage point of view. Even if the Planet Jupiter ( Natural benefactor of Marriage ) is weak or afflicted, Retrograde, Debilitated, Combust or in conjunction with Malefic planets, then also the Marriage can be delayed.
8. An Afflicted or weak Moon can also lead to delay or problems in relation to Marriage.
9. If the 7^th House of Horoscope or the Lord of 7^th House are being aspected by planet Saturn then also the Marriage can be delayed.
10. Presence of planet Mars or more than one Malefic in the 8^th House can also lead to delayed Marriage especially in a Female Horoscope.
11. Presence of powerful planet Jupiter in the 7^th House can also lead to a delayed Marriage because such people do not make any compromise in their choice of Life partner.
12. At times, the Marriage gets unduly delayed even though there are no Astrological reasons in the Horoscope to justify it. In such cases, one should check if there are any indications of a strong love affair and its failure in the individual’s Horoscope which could be a prime reason for person not getting married at the right age.
